Flashback

Our city park is antiquated. We don't have a lot of the safer, plastic equipment with cushioned areas nestled around them. In fact, these slides and swings are the same ones my children played on and yes...sometimes fell off of when they were growing up. Yesterday, since the weather was so perfect for it, we took the grand children to the park. It was a flashback for us. Old equipment or not, they still had fun.

Old or not it looks like a great place for the kids. You also created a flashback in my mind. When and where I grew up... parks looked just like that. great post and wonderful pictures

A few years ago I passed a playground I took y children to which used to contain all the equipment you show in you post (and some worse and more exciting). Sadly all that equipment is gone and so are the children. The new equipment is not exciting enough!

Great post.

Ah, that is what I remember. The metal slides! There was nothing more exciting as a kid as taking your life into your own hands!

Wonderful tidbit, looks like the grandkids are having a blast!
