Befuddled

His eyes confused, befuddled;
His fine logic was all muddled;
His transitions, somewhat addled;
All his sequences seemed rattled.
He was discombobulated;
In a word--twitterpated!

(A silly little poem for a Sunday Scribblings prompt)

No offence taken but why was it a "he" that was twitterpated?" Those little birds look like Australian Rainbow Lorikeets. How did they find you?

Oldegg,

Ha ha. It was a "he" because I'm a "she" so I think it's funnier when the "he" is twitterpated. As for the picture...well, you can find any picture through Google: I didn't happen to have any twitterpated pictures in my file of original shots and certainly not these magnificent birds--Lorikeets, you say? I'll remember that.

'twitterpated'..great alliteration..makes you feel befuddled even thinking of being 'twitterpated'..it's like you got under those ruffled feathers and told us this story..Jae :)

Hey! What's going on here? I had never, in my life, used the word discombobulated until today - and I had NOT seen your poem before I wrote it. Talk about sychronicity!
Colin Wilson would be very interested - I am flabbergasted.
Liked your poem, by the way.

I adore this; and like everyone one else I enjoyed the "twitterpated"!

Old Egg's question and your answer cracked me up. Twitterpated - oh I wouldn't mind that. It just might solve some muddled logic and then this little head may be less addled :)

Sweet scribblings today.

I used discombobulated some, but I've never seen it written down on paper. It looks a little peculiar. Maybe it's twitterpated, too.

Twitterpated, I love this word.

I love that you put "discombobulated" in a poem. And it worked.
