Vision

Just a little guy.
beholding the glorious playground
with a vision for great adventure,

but here is work to be done
before he can run along
to the castle!
the bridges!
the scaling walls!

"I have to finish
this digging job,"
he tells me
with solemn eyes.
The golden sawdust
has become wheat
to harvest.

So he works.
That too is vision.

This looks like a really fun playground. The kids seems to be having a fantastic time. Good summer fun!

Loved this. And in learning terms, such play is so very important.

I love the vision of my children--the kingdom in the backyard, the village in the bedroom. True vision.

Your words are sweet and the pictures are darling! How wonderful you've preserved that memory!

"The golden sawdust has become wheat to harvest" is a great line - captures the richness of children's play!
