I know. You think I should be blogging more. That way you don't imagine that I'm in bed with swine flu. Well, rest assured, I haven't forgotten this blog, and I've tucked away pictures and filled my shrinking memory cells with stuff that I must remember to write here...
It's the last three weeks of school. We've had night play practices...and day practices too. Tonight is the last performance. Yesterday I finished grading the seniors' personal manifestos--about three hundred pages of careful reading and evaluating. Monday my sophomores and I took a seven mile hike in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. I have pictures; I have music in my head...but all I can think about is taking a nap. I'll return before long. Until then, here are a few pictures.

The hiking place is very pretty.
I don't think anyone should be expected to blog in April and May if they're in any way associated with school.
